Cancellation & Refund Policy

Understanding our policies for cancellations and refunds

General Policy

At St John Ambulance India, we strive to provide the best services to our customers. This Cancellation & Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions regarding cancellations and refunds for various services offered through our platform.

Important Notice

All payments made for services, training programs, and certifications are generally non-refundable. Please read the following policy carefully before making any payment.

Transaction Fees Policy

Please Note: Transaction fees charged for payment processing would not be refunded/reversed under any circumstances for any refund/reversal/chargeback and any other reason.

Transaction fees charges would be borne by the customer/cardholder for any payment transaction. These fees are collected by our payment gateway partners and are non-refundable even if the main service payment is refunded in exceptional circumstances.

For transaction details acknowledgement, kindly check your provided email id/mobile number, which was used while making payment on the payment portal.

Training Programs & Certification Courses

Cancellation Policy:
  • Training program registrations can be cancelled up to 7 days before the program start date.
  • Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to training@stjohnindia.com.
  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before the program start date are not eligible for any refund.
Refund Policy:
  • If cancellation is made more than 7 days before the program start date, 70% of the course fee will be refunded.
  • 30% of the fee will be retained as processing charges.
  • Once training materials have been dispatched or accessed, no refund will be provided.
  • No refund will be provided for no-shows or incomplete attendance.
Rescheduling:

Participants may reschedule their training to a later date subject to availability and payment of a rescheduling fee of 10% of the course fee, provided the request is made at least 3 days before the original program date.

Service Cancellations

Ambulance Services:

Ambulance services once booked and dispatched cannot be cancelled. The full service charge will be applicable.

Event Medical Coverage:
  • Cancellation 30+ days before event: 80% refund
  • Cancellation 15-29 days before event: 50% refund
  • Cancellation 8-14 days before event: 25% refund
  • Cancellation less than 7 days before event: No refund
First Aid Kit Sales:

Unopened and undamaged first aid kits may be returned within 7 days of purchase for a full refund, excluding shipping charges. Opened or used kits are not eligible for return or refund.

Membership Fees:

Annual membership fees are non-refundable once paid.

Refund Process

  1. Submit a written refund request to the appropriate department email address with your transaction details.
  2. Our team will review your request within 5-7 business days.
  3. If approved, the refund will be processed to the original payment method.
  4. Refunds may take 7-14 business days to reflect in your account, depending on your bank/payment provider.

Note: Transaction fees paid to payment gateways are non-refundable. Only the principal amount for the service/training will be considered for refund where applicable.

Exceptions

In exceptional circumstances such as:

  • Medical emergencies (with valid documentation)
  • Bereavement in immediate family
  • Cancellation of event by St John Ambulance

We may consider providing a credit note for future services instead of a refund, to be used within 6 months of issue.

All exception requests must be submitted in writing with supporting documentation and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

This policy is effective from October 2023 and supersedes all previous cancellation/refund policies.
